Classes of Business

Five specialty classes. Senior expertise in each.

Capacity is concentrated in lines where the platform holds technical depth. Submissions outside published appetite are declined; submissions within it receive senior attention.

01

Property

Treaty and facultative property reinsurance for catastrophe-exposed and large commercial portfolios.

Description

We underwrite property reinsurance for cedants seeking disciplined capacity for catastrophe and per-risk programmes. Portfolio construction is informed by vendor and proprietary modelling, exposure aggregation analysis, and granular cedant due diligence.

Geographic focus

North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and selected Latin American markets.

Capabilities

  • Property catastrophe excess of loss
  • Per-risk excess of loss and quota share
  • Industry loss warranties and retrocession
  • Large commercial property facultative

02

Energy

Upstream, downstream, midstream, and energy transition reinsurance with engineering-led underwriting.

Description

A specialist energy practice covering the full value chain. Our underwriters work directly with engineers and risk managers to assess complex single-risk and portfolio submissions, including conventional, renewable, and energy transition exposures.

Geographic focus

Global mandate, with concentration in North Sea, Gulf of Mexico, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.

Capabilities

  • Upstream and offshore construction
  • Downstream property and business interruption
  • Power generation and renewables
  • Energy liability and operators’ extra expense

03

Facultative

Bespoke single-risk capacity for complex submissions across property, energy, and specialty classes.

Description

Facultative is where structuring discipline is most visible. We respond to broker submissions with technical reviews, clear quote terms, and committed capacity. Our facultative book complements our treaty portfolio rather than competing with it.

Geographic focus

Global, with broker submissions accepted from all licensed markets.

Capabilities

  • Single-risk property and engineering
  • Energy and power facultative
  • Marine and offshore single risks
  • Casualty facultative for unusual exposures

04

Treaty

Structured treaty reinsurance — proportional and non-proportional — for cedant balance-sheet management.

Description

Our treaty practice supports cedants in managing volatility, capital efficiency, and growth. Programmes are designed in partnership with the cedant and broker, with transparent loss participation, sliding-scale commissions, and multi-year structures where appropriate.

Geographic focus

Mature and emerging markets with established broker channels.

Capabilities

  • Proportional quota share and surplus
  • Non-proportional excess of loss
  • Multi-line and structured treaties
  • Aggregate stop-loss and capital relief

05

Specialty

Marine, aviation, political risk, and other specialty lines underwritten on a selective, technical basis.

Description

Specialty risk requires senior underwriting attention and class-specific expertise. We offer capacity in lines where we hold deep technical capability and reject submissions that fall outside it. The book is intentionally constrained.

Geographic focus

Global, with broker access through London, Bermuda, and Singapore markets.

Capabilities

  • Marine cargo, hull, and offshore
  • Aviation hull and liability
  • Political risk and trade credit
  • Terrorism and political violence
